Section I Definitions
Sections 4 3.A.1 and 4.3.A.2 are hereby amended by deleting “Section 2.9.O” and inserting in place thereof “Section 2.9.P”.

Reduction in scope of agreement for fault 19.1.1 If the Grantee does not comply with an obligation under this Agreement and the Commonwealth believes that the non‐compliance is incapable of remedy, or if the Grantee has failed to comply with a notice to remedy, the Commonwealth may by written notice reduce the scope of the Agreement. 19.1.2 The Grantee agrees, on receipt of the notice of reduction, to: (a) stop or reduce the performance of the Grantee’s obligations as specified in the notice; (b) take all available steps to minimise loss resulting from the reduction; (c) continue performing any part of the Activity or the Agreement not affected by the notice if requested to do so by the Commonwealth; (d) report on, and return any part of the Grant to the Commonwealth, or otherwise deal with the Grant, as directed by the Commonwealth. 19.1.3 In the event of reduction under clause 19.1.1, the amount of the Grant will be reduced in proportion to the reduction in the scope of the Agreement.

Amendment to Subsection 8.1(c). Subsection 8.1 of the Credit Agreement is hereby amended by deleting paragraph (c) of such subsection in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new paragraph:
Section Nine The Union shall indemnify the State for any liability or damages incurred by the State in compliance with this Article.
Section Four The State shall deduct the agency service fee biweekly from the paycheck of each employee who is required under C.G.S. 5-280 to pay such a fee as a condition of employment, provided, however, no such payment shall be required of an employee whose membership is terminated for reasons other than nonpayment of Union dues or who objects to payment of such fee based on the tenets of a religious sect. The amount of agency service fee shall not exceed the minimum applicable dues and/or assessments payable to the exclusive bargaining agent.
