Common use of SECTOR SPECIFIC EXEMPTIONS Clause in Contracts

SECTOR SPECIFIC EXEMPTIONS. As referenced in §4.0 of this Agreement all Sectors are granted the 20 following Universal Exemptions. 21 21.1 24 25 21.2 26 27 28 29 30 31 21.3 32 21.4 33 34 35 21.5 36 21.6 37 38 39 Exemption from all Groundfish DAS requirements, including days-at-sea (DAS) reductions, differential groundfish DAS counting, the 3/15 rule for gillnets, and 24-hour DAS counting. NE multispecies (DAS) requirements to persecute other fisheries as specified in §§ 648.92 and 648.32, 2 such as monkfish and skate continue to apply. Exemption from trip limits on all NE multispecies stocks for which the sector receives an allocation, except for the following: 21.2.1 Halibut: Trip limit continues to be one fish per trip 21.2.2 No vessel, whether in the Common Pool or in a Sector, are allowed to possess any windowpane flounder (both southern and northern), ocean pout, or wolfish onboard at any time. When caught, these species must be discarded.
