Separate Seniority Lists. There shall be separate seniority lists for full-time and part-time employees. A part time employee who accepts full-time work within the bargaining unit shall be credited with 50% of the employee's part-time seniority on the full-time seniority list. A full-time employee who accepts part-time work within the bargaining unit shall retain his or her date of hire as a full-time employee on the part-time seniority list. Employees on one seniority list shall not exercise seniority over employees on the other list for any purpose.

Separate Seniority Lists. In the event of lay-off of a mechanic from either the equipment department or the truck department, the mechanics will not be allowed to move from one department to the other department until any laid off mechanics are recalled from layoff to their respective departments.

Whenever possible, an employee shall be given an opportunity to serve the College in some other capacity for which he/she is qualified. This clause applies to all employees, including those on leave at time of reduction of staff.
