Separate Seniority Lists. There shall be separate seniority lists for full-time and part-time employees. A part time employee who accepts full-time work within the bargaining unit shall be credited with 50% of the employee's part-time seniority on the full-time seniority list. A full-time employee who accepts part-time work within the bargaining unit shall retain his or her date of hire as a full-time employee on the part-time seniority list. Employees on one seniority list shall not exercise seniority over employees on the other list for any purpose.
Separate Seniority Lists. A separate Seniority list will be maintained for each branch. Separate seniority will prevail except when an employee transfers from one branch to the other. In that case, ONLY the employee who transfers shall have full seniority for all purposes except layoff. For layoff, he/she shall have seniority based on the date he/she started in the Branch. The existing agreement bumping rights will apply.
Separate Seniority Lists. In the event of lay-off of a mechanic from either the equipment department or the truck department, the mechanics will not be allowed to move from one department to the other department until any laid off mechanics are recalled from layoff to their respective departments.
