Shift period and refreshment breaks Clause Samples

The 'Shift period and refreshment breaks' clause defines the rules governing the duration of work shifts and the allocation of rest or meal breaks for employees. Typically, this clause specifies the maximum length of a shift, the timing and length of required breaks, and any conditions under which breaks may be taken or adjusted. For example, it may require a 30-minute meal break for every six hours worked or mandate shorter rest breaks at set intervals. Its core practical function is to ensure employee well-being and compliance with labor regulations by providing clear guidelines for work and rest periods during shifts.
