Shiftwork Penalty Rates. This is clause 68 in the current agreement. There is no change to this clause. This is clause 69 in the current agreement. There is no change to this clause. This is clause 70 in the current agreement. The sub clauses dealing with part-time overtime (see cl 75.5 of the new Agreement) have been changed to provide that changes to agreed hours require agreement, as per clause 27.4. Other changes include changing the reference to being paid ordinary time’ for additional hours to ‘single time’ in sub clauses 75.3 and 75.5 to show the applicable rate for the additional duty (which is above the employees agreed hours) and where higher overtime rates (e.g. time and a half) are not applicable.
Shiftwork Penalty Rates. Full-time employees will qualify for the penalty rates as specified in the paragraphs below. Permanent part-time employees will qualify for the penalty rates only where their shifts commence before 6.00 am or finish after 6.00 pm.
Shiftwork Penalty Rates. In addition to the employee’s ordinary salary for the shift, a shiftworker will be paid shiftwork payments as follows:
Shiftwork Penalty Rates. An shiftworker who works according to a pre-determined roster or working pattern, which provides coverage for more than one shift per day and beyond the span of ordinary hours prescribed in clause 28.5 will be paid a loading of 17.5% in addition to their base rate of pay for all ordinary time worked on a rostered afternoon shift, as defined in clause 2.1; and 22.5% in addition to their base rate of pay for all ordinary time worked on a rostered night shift as defined in clause 2.1.
Shiftwork Penalty Rates. Where the ordinary rostered hours of work of a shiftworker (other than employees engaged as a Beachwood Support Worker or Evening Weekend Counsellor) finish their shift between 6.00 pm and 8.00 am or commence their shift between 6.00 pm and 6.00 am, the employee will be paid 115% of the minimum hourly rate of pay applicable to their classification and pay point.
(a) A casual employee (other than employees engaged as a Beachwood Support Worker or Evening Weekend Counsellor) who works shiftwork as defined in clause 0 will be paid 140% of the minimum hourly rate of pay applicable to their classification and pay point but will then not be paid the casual loading of 25%.
(b) The shiftwork penalty rates prescribed in clause 21.3 will not apply to shiftwork performed by any employee on Saturday, Sunday or public holidays where the extra payment prescribed in clause 21.1—Weekend penalty rates and clause 28—Long Services Leave. Long Service Leave
Shiftwork Penalty Rates. 32.1.1 Employees engaged on continuous work shifts, as defined in Clause 4 of this Agreement, shall, in addition to their ordinary rate, be paid per shift an amount equal to a 15 per cent loading on the employees' hourly rate of pay when working on afternoon or night shifts.
32.1.2 Employees not engaged on continuous work shifts, working on afternoon or night shifts (as defined in Clause 4), shall, in addition to their ordinary rate, be paid per shift an amount equal to a 15 per cent loading on the employees' hourly rate of pay.
32.1.3 Employees engaged upon seven day shift work rosters, in accordance with sub-clause 4.1.6, when working afternoon or night shift, as defined in Clause 4.1.1 and 4.1.4, shall, in addition to their ordinary rate, be paid per shift an amount equal to a 15 per cent loading on the employees' hourly rate of pay.
32.1.4 The additional shift rates shall be calculated to the nearest cent with any fraction of a cent in the result less than half a cent being disregarded.
32.1.5 An employee who is required to work: (a) during a period of engagement on shift, on night shift only; or (b) on night shift for a period longer than 4 consecutive weeks; or (c) on a night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give him or her at least one third of the time off night shift in each three shift cycles, must, during such engagement period or cycle, be paid at the rate of 30% additional to his ordinary rate for all time worked during ordinary hours.
32.1.6 No employee will be disadvantaged by receiving less than their current actual shift penalty with respect to the new application of penalty rates as set out in this clause.
Shiftwork Penalty Rates. 68.1 In addition to the employee’s ordinary salary for the shift, a shiftworker will be paid shiftwork payments as follows:
(a) Ordinary duty performed on a Saturday – 50%.
(b) Ordinary duty performed on a Sunday – 100%.
(c) Ordinary duty performed on a public holiday – 150%.
