Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan. 3.8.1 The Managers will prepare and obtain all necessary approvals for a shipboard oil pollution emergency plan (SOPEP) in a form approved by the Marine Environment Protection Committee of the International Maritime Organisation pursuant to the requirements of Regulation 26 of Annex I of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto, as amended (MARPOL 73/78). 3.8.2 The SOPEP will be written in the English language and will be reviewed and updated from time to time.
