The SHPO Responsibilities clause defines the duties and obligations of the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) within the context of a project or agreement. SHPO Responsibilities. 1. SHPO is responsible for responding to FHWA and VTrans requests according to the terms of this Agreement.
2. SHPO will participate in site visits and meetings to discuss large or complex undertakings upon request by VTrans or FHWA, as staff time and resources permit.
3. SHPO is responsible for posting the final documentation on the Online Resource Center for public access.
SHPO Responsibilities. A. The SHPO is permitted thirty (30) calendar days after receipt of any submitted documentation to review and comment on such material, with the exception of Stipulation VII.A.
1. If the SHPO does not provide comments within this time period, the City may assume that the SHPO does not object to its determination.
B. The SHPO will provide technical assistance and training on the application of the Standards and the SHBC to the City to the extent possible.
SHPO Responsibilities. 1. SHPO shall advise and assist the Federal Agencies and WSDOT in meeting their respective Section 106 responsibilities through the terms of this Agreement pursuant to 36 CFR § 800.2(c)(1).
2. SHPO shall respond to requests from the Federal Agencies and WSDOT, or their designee (such as consultants), for information held by SHPO regarding historic properties.
3. SHPO shall review activities carried out pursuant to this Agreement, which includes reviewing annual reports on undertakings exempted from Section 106 review in accordance with Stipulation XIII.A; and Project scope changes that did not require additional consultation with SHPO, in accordance with Stipulation IX.
4. SHPO shall participate in the annual meeting, if one is held, to evaluate implementation of this Agreement as provided for in Stipulation XIII.A.
SHPO Responsibilities. ▇. ▇▇▇▇ is permitted thirty (30) calendar days after the receipt of any submitted documentation to review and comment on such material. If SHPO does not provide comments within this time period, it may be assumed that SHPO accepts the documentation to meet the reporting requirements of this Agreement.
B. SHPO will provide technical assistance and training on the requirements of Section 106 and application of the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation as requested.
SHPO Responsibilities. A. SHPO shall query and review all available information concerning structures listed or eligible for listing on the National Register of the same thematic type.
B. SHPO shall notify the USACE of the following determinations within 30 days:

The SHPO may delegate some or all of its responsibilities under this Agreement to persons who are not currently members of the SHPO staff and who will serve as SHPO representatives with respect to the actions and decisions required by this Agreement. The SHPO will consult with FEMA about the selection of a representative, the scope of responsibilities delegated, and implementing procedures related to the actions and decisions delegated.
SHPO Responsibilities. The SHPO reflects the interests of the State and its citizens 141 in the preservation of their cultural heritage.
