Sick Leave and STLDP Eligibility and Allocation for Employees in a Long-Term Assignment. Notwithstanding the parameters outlined above, the following shall apply to an employee in a term assignment: i. Employees working less than a full year, and/or less than full-time, shall have their allocation of sick leave and STLDP prorated on the basis of the number of their working days compared to the full working year for their classification. The length of the sick leave shall be limited to the length of the assignment. ii. Where the length of the term assignment is not known in advance, a projected length must be determined at the start of the assignment in order for the appropriate allocation of sick leave/STLDP to occur. If a change is made to the length of the term or the FTE, an adjustment will be made to the allocation and applied retroactively. iii. An employee who works more than one term assignment in the same school year may carry forward Sick leave and STLDP from one term assignment to the next, provided the assignments occur in the same school year.
