Common use of Site Visits, Inspections and General Audits Clause in Contracts

Site Visits, Inspections and General Audits. At the discretion of the USG and independent of activities conducted by the Contractor, with 48 hours’ notice to the Contractor, the USG reserves the right to conduct site visits and inspections on an as needed basis, including collection of product samples and intermediates held by the Contractor, or subcontractor. In case of subcontractor visits and inspections that are independent of activities conducted by the Contractor, the USG shall demonstrate cause for such visit and/or inspection. All costs reasonably incurred by the Contractor and subcontractor for such visit and/or inspection shall be allowable costs. The Contractor shall coordinate these visits and shall have the opportunity to accompany the USG on any such visits. Under time-sensitive or critical situations, the USG reserves the right to suspend the 48 hour notice to the Contractor. If the Government, Contractor, or other party identifies any issues during an audit, the Contractor shall capture the issues, identify potential solutions, and provide a report to the Government for review and acceptance. · If issues are identified during the audit, Contractor shall submit a report to the CO and COR within 10 business days detailing the finding and corrective action(s) of the audit. · COR and CO will review the report and provide a response to the Contractor within 10 business days. · Once corrective action is completed, the Contractor will provide a final report to the CO and COR within 10 business days.
