Common use of Smoking Cessation Contribution Clause in Contracts

Smoking Cessation Contribution. The City agrees to participate in the cost to a member who chooses to access a smoking cessation program, up to 50% of the total cost and no more than $75 per pay period. A prerequisite is that a member who chooses to participate should first have made a good faith effort to quit smoking on their own, or in another manner. The City encourages smoking cessation in the interest of employee health, and to try to keep down future medical costs.
