Spares/bunkers, etc Clause Samples

The "Spares/bunkers, etc" clause defines the handling and ownership of spare parts, fuel (bunkers), and similar consumables on a vessel during a charter or sale. Typically, it specifies which party is responsible for providing, paying for, and transferring these items at the commencement and conclusion of the agreement. For example, it may require the charterer to purchase bunkers on board at delivery and sell them back at redelivery, or clarify who owns spare parts left on the vessel. This clause ensures a clear allocation of costs and responsibilities, preventing disputes over consumables and equipment at the start and end of the contractual period.
