Special Committee on Customs Cooperation and Trade Facilitation. 1. The Parties agree to establish a Special Committee on Customs Cooperation and Trade Facilitation which shall be made up of representatives of the Parties. This Committee shall meet on a date and with an agenda agreed in advance by the Parties. The office of Chairperson of this Committee shall rotate annually between the Parties. The Committee shall report to the CARIFORUM-EC Trade and Development Committee. 2. The functions of the Committee shall include: (a) monitoring the implementation and administration of the provisions of this Chapter; (b) carrying out the tasks and functions set down in Protocol I; (c) providing a forum for consultation between the Parties with regard to the obligations provided under Protocol II; (d) enhancing cooperation and dialogue between the Parties on tariff matters, customs legislation and procedures, mutual administrative assistance in customs matters, rules of origin and administrative cooperation; and (e) discussing issues relating to technical assistance activities.
