Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. 8.1 Providers must have arrangements in place to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). These arrangements should include a clear approach to identifying and responding to SEND. 8.2 Providers must adhere to the ‘Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage’ (April 2017) and must: 8.3 Providers should utilise Sunderland’s Local Offer, Early Years Inclusion Fund and Disability Access Fund (DAF) to deliver effective support, whilst making information available about their SEND offer to parents. 8.4 A range of support and advice can be sought for parents and providers through Sunderland’s Local Offer by following the link: xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xx.xx.
