SPECIAL INSTANCES FOR ASSIGNING SUBSTITUTES. 1. Paraprofessionals who are certified Teachers shall be assigned as substitute teachers only if no suitable substitute is available. Paraprofessionals so assigned shall receive the greater of Teacher substitute pay or their per diem wage with no loss of benefits for each day worked as a substitute.
