Stand Downs. The employer shall be entitled to deduct payment for any day or portion of a day upon which the employee cannot be usefully employed because of any strike by the union or unions affiliated with it, or by any other association or union, or through the breakdown of the employer's machinery or any stoppage or work by any clause which the employer cannot reasonably prevent.
