Standby Duty - General. Except as set out below, when placed by the department head or a designee specifically on standby duty (which is not hours worked), an employee shall be paid one (1) hour at the base rate of pay for eight (8) hours of such duty in addition to the regular salary. The compensation shall cease when the employee physically reports to a worksite and shall resume at the completion of the call-back work. Worksite, for the purposes of this Section, shall mean the location an employee is required to physically report to in order to complete the work assigned. The standby duty shall not cease if an employee is able to complete the required work remotely without having to physically report to a worksite. All standby duty premium shall cease at the end of the standby duty shift. Employees placed on standby duty are subject to the following requirements:

  • Standby Duty (a) An employee shall be on standby duty when required to be available for work outside his/her normal working hours, and subject to restrictions consistent with the FLSA which would prevent the employee from using the time while on standby duty effectively for the employee’s own purposes.

This total amount will cover the NCA chairperson and up to 3 goals. The funds cannot be distributed to fewer than three (3) individuals. The High School administration and teachers will propose the stipend distribution to both the OEA and administration, requiring final approval by both parties. If more than three goals are required by NCA, the OEA and administration will address this change through a Letter of Agreement.

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.

  • Standby Pay 19.01 When an Employee is designated to be immediately available to return to work during a period in which they are not on regular duty, the Employee shall be paid the amount of one-half (½) hours’ pay at their regular rate for each four (4) hours on standby or major portion thereof on a day that is not a paid holiday. For standby on a paid holiday, the payment shall be one (1) hours’ pay at the regular rate for each four (4) hours on standby or major portion thereof.

  • Jury Duty and Subpoena Leave A. Leave of absence with pay will be granted to employees for jury duty with appropriate documentation. An employee will be allowed to retain any compensation paid to him or her for jury duty service. An employee will inform his/her supervisor when notified of a jury summons and will cooperate in requesting a postponement of service if warranted by business demands.

  • Jury Duty and Witness Duty If an employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner’s inquest, in connection with a case arising from an employee’s duties at the Home, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance, provided that the employee:

  • Jury Duty/Subpoena A. An employee shall be allowed such time off without loss of compensation as is required in connection with mandatory jury duty. If payment is made for such time off, the employee is required to remit to the State jury fees received. When night jury service is required of an employee, the employee shall be allowed time off without loss of compensation for such portion of the required time that coincides with the employee's normal work schedule. This includes any necessary travel time.

  • Civic Duty Leave A. Employees summoned for jury duty will be granted a leave of absence with pay for time lost from their regular work schedule while on said jury duty upon presentation of the appropriate summons to the department head by the employee.

  • JURY DUTY AND WITNESS PAY 21.1 All employees shall be granted leave with pay and without loss of any benefits of their employment, to serve as a juror in State or Federal court or witness as a consequence of their official duties in response to subpoena or similar service issued out of a State or Federal Court, subject to the following provisions:

  • Official Duty Station Each employee's official duty station shall be the service location or a designated office or address in such other community, as may be designated, for employees assigned to a Region. For employees whose home is designated as their official duty station, the Employer will conduct an assessment to determine the supplies and equipment needed to perform their official duties. Based on the assessment completed by the Employer, all identified necessary equipment will be provided. Such equipment may include, but not be limited to a:
