Common use of State Law to Control Clause in Contracts

State Law to Control. It is understood that nothing herein contained shall be interpreted as attempting to circumvent the requirement that an individual contract of employment with each teacher employed by the Board must be executed as provided by law. If an individual contract contains any language inconsistent with this Agreement, this Agreement during its duration shall be controlling. If individual contracts are issued during negotiation, mediation, or fact finding or before the Agreement has been reached between the Board and the Association, the provisions of each individual contract shall be adjusted to comply with terms and conditions of the final Agreement once it has been consummated.
