Common use of Statement Values and Cost Basis Clause in Contracts

Statement Values and Cost Basis. 1. Pricing and Rating of Securities. Stifel statements show val- ues for cash equivalents and/or securities in your account. The pricing of securities displayed on your statements is derived from various sources, which Stifel believes to be reliable estimates, but due to the nature of market data, the accuracy of such prices cannot be guaranteed. Accordingly, prices shown should only be used as a general guide to portfolio value. In some cases, the amounts shown may be higher or lower than the price you would actually receive in the market. If we cannot obtain a price, “N/A” appears. For securities listed on an exchange or trading continu- ally in an active marketplace, the prices reflect market quotations at the close of your statement period. For securities trading less frequently, we rely on third-party pricing services or a computer- ized pricing model, which may not always reflect actual market values. Similarly, some insurance product values provided by outside carriers may be valued as of a date other than the statement date. Bond ratings of securities were obtained from various rating services, and there is no guarantee with respect to their accuracy. For current price quotes on any security, includ- ing bonds, please contact your Financial Advisor.
