Retraining for Positions within the Hospital Where, with the benefit of retraining of up to six (6) months, an employee who has either accepted the layoff or who is unable to displace any other employee could be redeployed to a hospital position identified by the Redeployment Committee in accordance with Article 9.08(d)(i):
Other Leaves Without Pay 10.10.1 Upon recommendation of the Superintendent and approval by the Board of Trustees, leave without compensation, increment, seniority, or tenure credit may be granted for a period of one school year for the following purposes: Peace Corps, care for a member of the immediate family who is ill, long-term illness of the bargaining unit member, service in an elected public office, or professional study or research.
Leave Without Pay for the Care and Nurturing of Pre-School Age Children Subject to operational requirements, an employee shall be granted leave without pay for the personal care and nurturing of the employee's pre-school age children in accordance with the following conditions:

SHORT-TERM ILLNESS AND INJURY AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY Employees shall be entitled to coverage for short term illness and injury and long term disability in accordance with agreed upon regulations which will be subject to review and revision during the period of this Agreement by negotiations between the Parties and included as Appendix A to this Agreement.
Options within the Layoff Unit A. Employees will be laid off in accordance with seniority, as defined in Article 39, Seniority. The Employer will determine if the employee possesses the required skills and abilities for the position and the comparability of the position. The Employer may require updated information from the employee regarding the employee’s current skills and abilities. Lifetime maximums and non-prescription out-of-pocket maximums Coverage under Advantage is not subject to a per person lifetime maximum. In the first and second years of the contract, coverage under Advantage is subject to a plan year, non-prescription drug, out-of-pocket maximum of one thousand seven hundred dollars ($1,700) per person or three thousand four hundred dollars ($3,400) per family for members whose primary care clinic is in Cost Level 1 or Cost Level 2; two thousand four hundred dollars ($2,400) per person or four thousand eight hundred dollars ($4,800) per family for members whose primary care clinic is in Cost Level 3; and three thousand six hundred dollars ($3,600) per person or seven thousand two hundred dollars ($7,200) per family for members whose primary care clinic is in Cost Level 4.
CHILD AND DEPENDENT ADULT/ELDER ABUSE REPORTING CONTRACTOR shall establish a procedure acceptable to ADMINISTRATOR to ensure that all employees, agents, subcontractors, and all other individuals performing services under this Agreement report child abuse or neglect to one of the agencies specified in Penal Code Section 11165.9 and dependent adult or elder abuse as defined in Section 15610.07 of the WIC to one of the agencies specified in WIC Section 15630. CONTRACTOR shall require such employees, agents, subcontractors, and all other individuals performing services under this Agreement to sign a statement acknowledging the child abuse reporting requirements set forth in Sections 11166 and 11166.05 of the Penal Code and the dependent adult and elder abuse reporting requirements, as set forth in Section 15630 of the WIC, and shall comply with the provisions of these code sections, as they now exist or as they may hereafter be amended.
