Common use of Status of the Policies Clause in Contracts

Status of the Policies. (i) Each of the insurance policies in respect of which the Company has an interest (the Policies) is valid and enforceable and is not void or voidable. (ii) The Company has not done anything or omitted to do anything which might: a) make any of the Policies void or voidable; or b) prejudice the ability to effect insurance on the same or better terms in the future. (iii) No insurer under any of the Policies has disputed, or given any indication that it intends to dispute, the validity of any of the Policies on any grounds. (iv) There is nothing which could: a) vitiate any of the Policies; or b) prejudice the ability to effect insurance on the same or better terms in the future. (v) None of the Policies contains any provisions as to change of control or ownership of the insured. (vi) No insurer has ever cancelled or refused to accept or continue any insurance in relation to the Company.
