STEADY BANQUET SERVERS AND SET-UP. (i) First Call: Employees shall be employed as steady full-time banquet servers and as such, shall have scheduling priority over part-time banquet servers. (ii) Second Call: Steady part-time banquet servers shall be booked or assigned on a seniority basis, and as such shall have scheduling priority over part-time seasonal banquet servers. (iii) Third Call: Seasonal part-time banquet servers shall be offered work on an as needed basis by call in by seniority. A seasonal part time banquet server must have worked at least once during a calendar year, otherwise he/she shall be removed from the seniority list. The Parties recognize that due to the peculiarities of the business and the Banquet Department there will be periods during the Employee’s year where they will work in excess of the normal part-time cap of twenty four (24) hours per week, but for the above stated reason will not enjoy the full time benefits as indicated. It is also recognized in the interest of prioritizing work assignments to senior people they may work in excess of the maximum required by the part time person however, in doing so will not change their status or benefits. Full-time Employees in the banquet department classifications shall enjoy all terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement covering other departments of The Old Mill (save as modified in this article).
