Step Down/Demotion Process. The following provision applies to all employees who hold a Key Personnel position (except Assistant Department Managers who were red-circled at ratification 2013 – March 23, 2013): Employees who step down or are demoted shall revert back to their previous non- key personnel classification and remain in their current store, or upon mutual agreement, the employee may be placed in a store where there is minimal impact on employees’ hours in the selected store. Where the step down causes concern, the Union and Employer shall meet to mitigate the unforeseen circumstances resulting from the step down.
