Structure of List. The Recommended Spare Parts List and the Updated Spare Parts List shall be grouped into 4 categories: • Consumable Parts - Parts that are regularly replaced as part of the scheduled maintenance of the equipment, and that once replaced are not expected to be reused. Examples of consumable parts are belts, light bulbs, air filters and cleaning pads; • Replacement Parts - Parts that are not regularly replaced as part of the scheduled maintenance of the equipment, but that are expected to require replacement due to external causes such as vandalism, abuse or accident. Once replaced the parts are not expected to be reused. Examples of replacement parts are door appliqués, decals, and screen covers; • Repairable Parts - Parts that are not regularly replaced as part of the scheduled maintenance of the equipment, but that are expected to require replacement due to random failure. Once replaced the parts are expected to be repaired and returned to the parts inventory. Examples of repairable parts are electrical assemblies, printed circuit boards and passenger information displays; and • Overhaul Parts - Parts that are scheduled to be replaced at planned intervals. Once replaced the parts are expected to be overhauled or reconditioned for further use. Overhaul parts are normally provided in kit form, the kit containing those parts usually replaced during an overhaul. Examples of overhaul parts are bill accepters, coin mechanisms, and receipt printers.
