Student Distribution. Reasonable efforts shall be made at the beginning of the school year or semester to provide for an equitable distribution of regular education students on any grade level or specialized area in the elementary schools and by subject and level in the secondary schools with respect to class size, discipline history, and ability levels. While reasonable efforts should be made to maintain distribution levels as much as possible throughout the year, it is understood that mobility factors, the timely accessibility of student information, and the individual needs of each student will impact distribution equity. Teacher input shall be solicited to attempt a balance of the student population. The Building Principal shall have the authority to implement the foregoing provisions. In doing so, the Building Principal will consider input that may be given by affected classroom teachers.
Student Distribution. Third-fifth grade students will receive a Digital Device for in classroom use. Students must sign the VCS Digital Device Agreement before the time they receive their Digital Device. Device are not allowed to be taken home and failure to comply will result in disciplinary action and/or the student being charged for the full replacement cost.
Student Distribution. The District will maintain uniform class size consistent with staff and facilities. The counselor(s) and building administrator(s) will fairly distribute students, within grade level or subject area, recognizing exceptional students may warrant lower class size due to increased demands for instructional support. The District will provide additional supplies, textbooks, instructional equipment and student desks as recommended by the employee after consultation with the Administration.
