Study Leave Without Pay. No deduction is made from the holiday pay of teachers for study leave without pay for periods not exceeding three months in any one year. If the period exceeds three months, the holiday pay deduction is based on the whole period of leave. The leave must be for study for qualifications recognised by the Ministry as of value to teaching.
Study Leave Without Pay. 53.1 Study leave without pay may be granted by the Chief Executive Officer for a maximum period of 12 months to allow employees to undertake full‐time study. Periods of study leave without pay for periods longer than 12 months will be considered in exceptional circumstances. Study leave without pay does not count as service for accrual purposes, but will not break the continuity of service.
Study Leave Without Pay. Leave of absence for up to 12 months without pay may be granted by the superintendent at the recommendation of the principal to those teachers who are seriously planning on returning to employment with the School.
