Common use of Subject to the provisions Clause in Contracts

Subject to the provisions. of this Agreement, the Union acknowledges that it is the exclusive function and responsibility of the Employer to: (a) maintain order, discipline and efficiency; (b) establish and enforce reasonable rules and regulations covering the conduct, duties and methods of operation of the employees; (c) hire, retire, direct, assign, classify, transfer, promote, demote, lay-off, and to discipline, suspend or discharge employees for just cause; (d) generally to manage and operate Carleton University.
