Common use of SUBSTANCE ABUSE REHABILITATION Clause in Contracts

SUBSTANCE ABUSE REHABILITATION. If an employee comes forward requesting rehabilitation treatment for substance abuse, the employee will be referred to rehabilitation services. If the employee is caught in a prohibited activity without coming forward, s/he is subject to termination. Return to work following treatment will be contingent on agreement to a Contract for Continued Employment drafted by the Port and agreed to by the Union. Nothing in this Appendix limits the Port’s right to take disciplinary action for just cause.
