Substitute Driver. 46 A person not employed on a continuous daily basis, nor guaranteed a minimum number of 47 hours per month, rather, employed on an “on-call” or “subject-to-call” basis. Such persons are 48 excluded from the bargaining unit.
Substitute Driver. One who is not assigned to a full –time route
Substitute Driver. A substitute driver is not a Bargaining Unit Member.
Substitute Driver. A substitute driver is a person who is employed for the purpose of temporarily replacing a regular driver. If a substitute is employed in replacement of a regular driver for more than sixty (60) consecutive working days (or thirty (30) consecutive days if the driver has been a substitute for two (2) or more years), or were hired before July 1, 2009, the substitute driver will receive holiday pay and snow day pay for those holidays occurring within the period of substitution commencing with the applicable completion of the probationary period.
Substitute Driver. A substitute employee as defined in Article I who can be either a CDL or 39 Non-CDL driver.
Substitute Driver. A substitute driver is one who is on call for runs in the absence of a regular driver. A substitute driver is eligible for field trips only when a regular seniority or probationary driver is not available and they meet the requirement of Article IX C.I. Substitute Driver. A casual employee not a part of the bargaining unit, who generally substitutes for absent employees.
Substitute Driver. (a) is a temporary employee for a regular driver
(b) will be used for work as needed
(c) shall be paid based on years of driving experience and use the ORBDA pay schedule (d) receives no benefits
(e) has no seniority
Substitute Driver. Drives on a per diem basis when regular drivers are not available, except as provided in this Agreement. If a regular driver is on approved absence, regular drivers who are available will be offered the opportunity to drive the regular driver’s special runs on a rotation basis.
Substitute Driver. If a nominated driver cannot drive through illness or for other good reason, a subcontractor may use a substitute driver but shall:
a) First obtain approval for the substitute driver from a Freighting Solutions representative;
b) Comply with any conditions Freighting Solutions sees fit to impose including the length of time for use of the substitute driver;
c) Make sure that the substitute driver possesses an appropriate current driver’s licence as per 6.1 a)
d) Make sure that the substitute driver is paid in accordance with any relevant law; and
e) Is inducted as per 6.1 c).
