Common use of Substitutes for Principals Clause in Contracts

Substitutes for Principals. Substitutes will generally not be provided for in-district meetings. However, when time commitments are extensive, building needs extraordinary, or there are unusual circumstances, the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources may authorize a substitute on a case-by-case basis. If the cost of a substitute is not approved by the District and a principal wishes to have a substitute in his/her absence, a substitute can be paid for out of the principal’s staff development funds.
