Common use of Substitution and Assignment Clause in Contracts

Substitution and Assignment. Contractor shall not, without District’s written consent: Substitute any person as a subcontractor in place of the subcontractor designated in the original bid. Permit any Subcontract to be assigned or transferred, or allow any portion of the Work to be performed by anyone other than the subcontractor listed in the original bid; or Sublet or subcontract any portion of the Work in excess of one-half of one percent (1/2 of 1%) of Contractor’s total bid as to which his original bid did not designate a subcontractor. Coordination of Work. Contractor shall coordinate the trades, subcontractors, sub-subcontractors and material or equipment suppliers working on the Project.
