SUCCESSIVE BENEFICIARIES. If an Owner dies, and the surviving Joint Owner is the surviving Spouse of the deceased Owner, the surviving Spouse will become the Beneficiary and may take the death benefit or elect to continue this Contract in force. If there is no surviving Joint Owner, and no named Beneficiary is alive at the time of an Owner’s death, any benefits payable will be paid to the Owner’s estate.

SUCCESSIVE BENEFICIARIES. If there is no named Owner’s Beneficiary alive at the time of the Owner’s death, then the Owner’s Beneficiary will be the Annuitant, if living, or the Annuitant’s Beneficiary if the Annuitant is not living. A change of Contingent Annuitant will take effect as of the date the written Request is processed at the Annuity Service Center, unless a certain date is specified by the Owner. 2.10

  • Intended Beneficiaries Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to give any person or entity other than the parties hereto any legal or equitable claim, right or remedy. Rather, this Agreement is intended to be for the sole and exclusive benefit of the parties hereto.
