Common use of Surplus to the Needs of a School Clause in Contracts

Surplus to the Needs of a School. Teachers who have been declared surplus to the needs of a school are encouraged to apply for the posted positions for which they are qualified. If no position has been secured by the teacher who is surplus to the needs of a school, it shall be the responsibility of the Superintendent responsible for staffing to ensure that such teacher is assigned to a vacant position for which is qualified.
