Common use of Surrender of Insurance Clause in Contracts

Surrender of Insurance. Mortgagee may surrender the insurance policies maintained pursuant to the terms hereof, or any part thereof, and receive and apply the unearned premiums as a credit on the Secured Obligations and, in connection therewith, Mortgagor hereby appoints Mortgagee (or any officer of Mortgagee), as the true and lawful agent and attorney-in-fact for Mortgagor (with full powers of substitution), which power of attorney shall be deemed to be a power coupled with an interest and therefore irrevocable, to collect such premiums.
