Common use of Suspension of Proceedings Clause in Contracts

Suspension of Proceedings. The Arbitration Tribunal may, at the request of both parties, suspend its work at any time for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months. Once the period of twelve (12) months has been exceeded, the authority for the establishment of the Arbitration Tribunal will lapse, without prejudice to the right of the complaining party to request at a later stage the establishment of an Arbitration Tribunal on the same measure.
