Common use of Suspension of Work/Force Majeure Clause in Contracts

Suspension of Work/Force Majeure. Client may require Xxxxxx to temporarily suspend work by delivery of written notice to Xxxxxx. Xxxxxx may also be required to suspend work due to circumstances beyond the control of Xxxxxx, including but not limited to strike, fire, inclement weather (including excessive rain or heat), act of God, governmental action, third party actions, casualty or acts of Client. Client understands that the suspension of work by Xxxxxx will cause Xxxxxx to incur additional costs to suspend and resume work and Client agrees to reimburse Xxxxxx for such additional costs and to extend Xxxxxx’x deadline for completion.
