System Functions. The System shall accommodate and/or perform in an --------------------- efficient and cost effective manner in accordance with generally accepted industry standards, including but not limited to, the following primary and commonly used Internet functions: Domain Name Service; Internet E-Mail processing; World Wide Web Access, News Groups, File Transfer Protocol (ftp), Telnet, and dialup user access and perform all accounting and control functions of FiberTel.

System Functions a. The SE shall have information management processes and information systems (hereafter referred to as Systems) that enable it to meet state and federal reporting requirements and other Contract requirements and that are in compliance with this Contract and all applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations including HIPAA. b. The SE's Systems shall support daily operations and facilitate the monitoring of the service delivery system and the performance of providers. c. The SE’s Systems shall house required data. These data includes, but is not limited to: individual consumer-specific data such as eligibility and enrollment; claims/invoices; consumer- specific encounter data; reimbursement rates/fee schedules; provider payment rules/logic; distribution of funds; tracking of services and expenditures across funding streams and by consumer and program; contractor/provider-specific information; consumer assessments and outcomes data; and any other data necessary to measure program effectiveness and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. The Collaborative reserves the right to modify and/or expand data required as needed. d. The SE’s Systems shall utilize HIPAA-compliant systems and comply with all aspects of federal and state information confidentiality and transaction security requirements for all consumer data exchanged manually or electronically.
System Functions. The System shall provide all functionality detailed within the Specification in Appendix A1. 2.2.1 Compatibility and inter-operability For compatibility and security reasons the following browsers are required: • Internet Explorer – all versions supported by Microsoft • Firefox – all versions within 2 years of latest release • Safari – all versions within 2 years of latest release • Opera – all versions within 2 years of latest release • Google Chrome – all versions within 2 years of latest release 2.2.2 System management The Supplier will deliver to the Customer all the necessary tools, systems and training to enable the full use, access and control of the front end system to perform basic housekeeping duties by the local administrators and super users at the Customer. The Supplier shall provide all the back-end system management. 2.2.3 Data and database facilities The Supplier is responsible for all data and database facilities required to deliver the service. Definition: Databases are provided within the solution as an integral component to its operation. Data is that which is inputted in to the system by the Customer. 2.2.4 System security and access The Supplier is responsible for only the system security and access as set out in the document Appendix A1 in conjunction with the security policy as detailed in Appendix A3 – Supplier Security Policy. Any updates to the Supplier Security Policy will be provided to the Customer.
System Functions. Attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference is a description of the WormHole Video System, including its design and functions. Merit represents and warrants that the WormHole Video System will perform in the manner described in Exhibit "A" and that the WormHole Video System will allow an end user to download a compressed, full length feature movie file in less than one minute and to decompress such file for viewing in less than 30 minutes. Merit further represents that the video files will be viewable on the end-users television set or monitor in the same resolution and quality as the original video file provided to Merit by Video Direct, Further, whatever video is supplied to Merit for compression it will be completely unaltered after unpegging by the Wormhole decompression software. If at any time during the term of this Agreement, the WormHole Video System should fail to function in the manner described in Exhibit "A", Merit agrees to immediately take all steps as may be necessary to remedy the problem and cause the system to perform in accordance with such description. Video Direct acknowledges that the WormHole Video System can process video files under any MPEG format but that Merit has built its Favos using the MPEG2 format and that delivery to Merit of video files in a format other than MPEG2 (e.g. MPEG4) would require Merit to build new Favos, which would take approximately thirty (30) days to accomplish.

System Functions. The claims processing sys- tem shall include at least the following functions: (1) The maintenance in electronic or written form, or both, of appropriate information on health care services provided to covered beneficiaries by or through third parties under CHAMPUS or any alter- native CHAMPUS program or demonstration project. Such information shall include— (A) the services to which such beneficiaries are entitled or eligible under an insurance plan, medi- cal service plan, or health plan under CHAMPUS; (B) the insurers, medical services, or health plans that provide such services; and (C) the services available to beneficiaries under each insurance plan, medical service plan, or health plan, and the payment required of the beneficiaries and the insurer, medical service, or health plan for such services under the plan. (2) The ability to receive in electronic or written form claims submitted by insurers, medical services, and health plans for services provided to covered beneficiaries. (3) The ability to process, adjudicate, and pay (by electronic or other means) such claims. (4) The provision of the information described in paragraphs (1) and (2) and information on the matters referred to in paragraph (3) by telephone, electronic, or other means to covered beneficiaries, insurers, medical services, and health plans.

These systems and their relationships are shown in the diagram below: Biobanking management system on the Trust network- the subject of this procurement; Patient coding system on the Trust network – ORCHID, currently under development; Research portal on the Internet accessible by anyone worldwide, using summary information extracted from the Biobank systems; Research study databases and systems outside the Trust, e.g. on a University network, using link-anonymised data from the Biobank system; Existing Trust systems such as NotIS, PAS and PACS, communicating with the Biobank systems using standard messaging via the Trust Messaging Exchange.
