Common use of Taxes Payable by the Landlord Clause in Contracts

Taxes Payable by the Landlord. The Landlord will, subject to Sections 3.2 and 3.3, pay directly to the appropriate taxing authority all Taxes in respect of the Building and the Lands, or any part thereof. However, the Landlord may defer payment of any such Taxes, to the fullest extent permitted by law, so long as it diligently prosecutes any contest or appeal of any such Taxes.
