Teaching Renewal Terms (TRT Sample Clauses

Teaching Renewal Terms (TRT. (a) The TRT is available only to Members holding the rank of Lecturer and on continuing appointment. (b) The TRT provides an opportunity for such Members to review and revise courses, improve pedagogy, keep current in their field, and/or research the scholarship of teaching and learning. (c) Such member shall be entitled to one (1) TRT in year six (6) of regular service (i.e. after having taught thirty-five (35) courses). (d) The term immediately preceding or directly after a TRT shall be a non-teaching term, which provides the Member two consecutive (2) terms with no assigned teaching duties. In years in which a TRT occurs, Members shall teach three (3) courses. (e) The TRT compensation will be at 85% salary.
