Techniques and Tools Sample Clauses

Techniques and Tools. 3.2.1. WORKSHOPS Workshops will be used to evaluate the suitability of the content of each tutorial. They will typically last around 0.5 to 1 day. The setup of a workshop will allow for live discussion and feedback on the subject matter of the tutorial and is therefore seen as a valuable testbed. In addition, workshops can serve a secondary purpose as a dissemination platform for SafeTRIP – an opportunity that is not to be missed. SafeTRIP plans to take advantage of the collaborative links with NEARCTIS in order to have access to an audience of transport researchers who are keen to use SafeTRIP technology for research purposes. Already during the first SafeTRIP workshop in Lyon, there was keen interest to learn more about the technology. NEARCTIS organises workshops and summer schools every year, and we plan to discuss the possibility of conducting one or more SafeTRIP tutorial workshops at their event. Calls for workshops will also be targeted at conferences – including those in the field of ITS, transport, telecommunication, interaction, HCI & telematics – to propose SafeTRIP tutorials. Equally, UCL has good industrial links and access to world-class researchers which can provide a critical audience for testing the tutorials. 3.2.2. WEB-BASED TUTORIAL Web-based tutorials will be developed after the workshop tutorials have been evaluated using interactive web technologies. While there will be a lot of common aspects between the workshop and web version, the latter will be a much more refined version in light of feedback from the workshop tutorials. The web version will be designed to offer various learning paths in order to access a broader audience. Registration forms will also be implemented to help in the evaluation of the tutorial and as an indicator whether the intended target audience is using the material. The web version will keep track of the user activity for evaluation purposes only.
