Common use of Telephonic Response Clause in Contracts

Telephonic Response. Employees who are authorized by the Employer to perform work via the telephone in an emergency or non-emergency situation, before or after their regularly assigned shift, in excess of de minimis time, shall be compensated at straight time or overtime rate as appropriate. The Employer reserves the right to verify calls and require documentation of the calls, including but not limited to: date, time and length of calls; time spent addressing the emergency or required work; name of client or contact; reason for the emergency or required work; and signature of Employee.
