Common use of Tenure Denial Clause in Contracts

Tenure Denial. a) The Board of Trustees may deny tenure to probationary faculty members after consideration of the recommendations of the Tenure Review Committee, the findings of the Board of Review and the recommendation of the Superintendent-President. b) Should the probationary faculty member be served with a Notice of Non-Renewal, then the probationary faculty member shall have twenty (20) calendar days to file a request for a hearing with the office of the Vice President of Human Resources. c) If a hearing is requested by the probationary faculty member, the Vice President of Human Resources shall notify the LBCCFA President personally of the date, time and place of the hearing, confirmed in writing, at least five (5) calendar days in advance of the hearing.
