Tenure-Track. A tenure-track appointment is normally for a period of two years following the date on which an academic staff member is first appointed. It may thereafter be renewed annually. Tenure-track appointments shall be renewed when duties have been performed in a satisfactory manner and it is deemed that the academic staff member should be afforded opportunity to progress toward an appointment with tenure. 14.3.3.1 The period during which an academic staff member holds a tenure-track appointment is referred to as the probationary period.
