Term Appointments When Medical Absences Exceed Twenty Days. a. Where the Board receives a letter from either the teacher, or the teacher's doctor, establishing that the continuing or term teacher's medically approved absence will extend for twenty (20) or more working days from the date such letter is received, the vacancy shall be filled by a term appointment. In the event that the incumbent Teacher teaching on call is selected to fill the vacancy, the term appointment shall apply retroactively.
