Common use of Termination of Preferential Placement Status Clause in Contracts

Termination of Preferential Placement Status. Preferential Placement status will terminate upon the earlier of any of the following occurrences: (i) recall at the work location that gave rise to the preferential placement status prior to placement, (ii) placement at a designated preferential placement location, (iii) acceptance of a job offer and failure to report as scheduled without satisfactory explanation, (iv) refusal of three preferential placement job offers, (v) the lapsing of four years since the election of this status. Individuals placed under this Section 3(e) and thereafter laid off within eighteen months may, notwithstanding normal eligibility requirements, elect Preferential Placement.
