Common use of Termination of Shift Clause in Contracts

Termination of Shift. A shift worker shall be given seven days' notice of the cessation of the shift work. If such notice is not given the appropriate shift allowances set out in Clause 7, - Shift Work Allowances, shall be paid.

Shift workers recognise their obligation to continue at work until relieved, provided that they are not required to work more than two consecutive shifts.

If such notice is not given the appropriate shift allowances allowance set out in Clause 7, - Shift Work Allowances, clause 28.3 shall be paidapply to ordinary time worked until such seven days' notice would have expired. The Company will provide as much notice as possible about a cessation of a shift.
