Common use of Termination of Subcontractors Clause in Contracts

Termination of Subcontractors. Contractor shall inform Owner of the circumstances relating to the termination of any Subcontractor and discuss the same with Owner prior to effecting any such termination. Should Contractor propose the termination of a Small, Minority and Women Business Enterprise (SMWBE) classified/certified Subcontractor or sub-consultant, the Contractor shall substitute a Subcontractor or sub-consultant of like classification/certification, and if Contractor is unable to substitute a Subcontractor or sub- consultant of like classification, Contractor shall provide Owner with documentation of its efforts to acquire the services of an SMWBE replacement firm.
