The network administrator may review files and email to maintain system integrity and insure that users are using the system responsibly. Users should not expect that e-mail files stored on District servers would be private. Employees may apply for a school email account on the District’s Intranet for school use. The following activities are specifically prohibited: • Sending or displaying pornographic or lewd messages or pictures • Using obscene, lewd or vulgar language • Xxxxxxxxx, degrading, threatening or attacking others • Violating copyright laws or any other law • Using another’s password without appropriate authorization • Trespassing in another’s folders, work or files • Employing the network for commercial purposes • Promotion or political causes or candidates • Promotion of religion or religious activities • Sending or displaying information regarding the construction, manufacture or use of weapons, poisonous or toxic materials or other injurious substances or devices without appropriate authorization • Deliberate damage to hardware or software • Use of District computers for gambling • Destruction or deletion of district, school or student-related records, files e-mail or programs without administrator approval EXHIBIT-4119.26 (b)
Terms and Conditions of this Acceptable Use Agreement. Each student applying for an account will be educated in the proper behavior and use of the network as per the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and CISD Policy CQ. The combined signatures at the end of this document indicate the student and parent/guardian have carefully read and understood the terms and conditions of appropriate use and thereby agree to abide.
