Common use of The Board of County Clause in Contracts

The Board of County. Commissioners may direct a Department Head, or a Department Head may elect, to layoff an employee whenever it is deemed necessary because of a material work shortage, a shortage of funds, abolition of the position, unavoidable fluctuations in work being performed, for other material changes in the duties of the organization, or for related reasons which are outside the employee's control and which do not reflect discredit upon the service of the employee.
