Common use of The National Company's Right of Preemption Clause in Contracts

The National Company's Right of Preemption. When an assignment, transfer or other disposition of any rights under this Contract is anticipated, the assigning Party must notify in writing the National Company as soon as practicable. The National Company shall then have the right to purchase the assigning Party’s interest under this Contract and proposed to be assigned, transferred or otherwise disposed of on the same terms and conditions as those offered to a bona-fide assignee. This right is in addition to any right of pre-emption granted to the National Company under the Joint Operating Agreement.
