The Number 3 - A Written Well Sample Clauses

The Number 3 - A Written Well. Defined Scope of Services Recent claims reveal that some engineers are not documenting their scope of services with sufficient written detail. The best way to document your scope of services is in a clearly written agreement. The scope of services can be either in the written agreement or as an attachment to the written agreement. If it is attached, the attachment must be identified in the agreement. It is necessary to date and name the scope of services attachment in the written agreement. Every project is unique and requires a customized definition of the scope of services. The agreement should have a detailed explanation of the service that you intend to perform, and the services that you do not intend to perform.

EXAMPLE: You need special materials that are not in the RS Means Unit Price Book for a project. You would buy the materials and mark them up to the TIPS Member customer by the percentage you propose in this question. If the materials cost you, the contractor, $100 and you proposed a markup on this question for the material of 30 percent, then you would charge the TIPS Member customer $130 for the materials.
